In short

Standard is freeware that backs up the system, disks, partitions and files on a schedule^2,5.
Professional costs $39.95 a year for one PC, renewing automatically, or $69.95 once with lifetime upgrades¹.
Pro Family Lifetime covers 5 PCs for $89.95, shown with $349.75 struck through¹.
Encryption, differential backups, automatic cleanup and Universal Restore need a paid edition².
Paid editions carry a 90-day money-back guarantee¹.

AOMEI Backupper suits home users who want to start free and then buy once rather than subscribe^1,2. Professional adds encryption, automatic cleanup of old backups and Universal Restore to new hardware^2,7,8. The catch: AOMEI documents no ransomware shield for backup files, and its own cloud takes file backups only⁴.

Best for: Home users who want a one-time licence and a free starting point.
