cloud storage service · Icedrive
Icedrive
Cloud storage with a 10 GB free plan, client-side encryption, a mounted virtual drive and lifetime plans.
In short
- The free plan gives 10 GB of storage1.
- Pro gives 2 TB for €99 a year, with 40% off the first year (€59)1.
- Lifetime plans cost €349 for 500 GB or €599 for 2 TB, paid once2.
- Client-side encryption (Crypto) comes with paid plans and works in a separate Encrypted section1,9.
- Apps cover Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android; the desktop app mounts your storage as a drive4,5,8.
Icedrive suits people who want a mounted drive in Windows and the choice of a one-time lifetime payment2,5. Its subscription plans keep file versions for 30 to 90 days and carry a 30-day refund promise1. The catch: Icedrive names no outside security audit and lists no family plan, and the free plan lacks client-side encryption1,3,6.
Best for: People who want a mounted drive on Windows and a one-time payment option.

As the vendor lists them, before tax. Prices are in US dollars unless the plan shows euros; the points use US dollars, with euros converted at the ECB rate.

The plans page shows euro prices only. The yearly card shows €99 struck through with €59 as a 40% first-year saving; the monthly toggle shows Pro at €9.99, Pro Plus €14.99 and Pro Max €24.991. We use €99 as the regular yearly price.
Strengths
Limits
- Pro 2 TB is listed at €99 a year; the €59 price is a first-year saving1.
- Version history lasts only 30 to 90 days on subscriptions and 14 days on lifetime plans1,2.
- Icedrive Docs, its online editor, is listed as coming soon1.
- No outside security audit is named, and the plans page lists ISO 27001 only for its data centres1,6.
- Client-side encryption is listed for paid plans, not the free plan1,3.
