# ScreenPal

Screen and webcam recorder with an editor, link sharing and video hosting, formerly called Screencast-O-Matic.

74 points out of 100. #2 of 9 screen recorders. Vendor: Big Nerd Software, LLC (ScreenPal). Website: https://screenpal.com/

- The free plan records up to 15 minutes per video and adds no watermark [2].
- Deluxe costs $4 a month, billed as $48 a year [3].
- Paid plans add computer sound recording and automated captions [1][2].
- Apps for Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android and Chromebook [2].
- ScreenPal is the new name of Screencast-O-Matic [4].

Verdict: ScreenPal suits people who record short lessons or walkthroughs and share them by link. The free plan adds no watermark and includes drawing while recording and basic editing [1][2]. The catch: free recordings stop at 15 minutes and leave out computer sound, which needs a paid plan from $48 a year [2][3]. Best for: Teachers and teams who share short how-to videos by link.
